Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) is a two-week academic summer program for high school students worldwide, held at Yale University. It offers students an immersive, university-like experience focused on global challenges, innovation, and diverse perspectives, with tracks in areas like science, law, economics, and humanities. The program fosters international networking and intellectual curiosity by exposing students to Yale's resources and a community of peers from over 150 countries.  

Key Aspects of YYGS

  • Global Diversity:

    YYGS brings together around 1,800 students from over 150 countries and all U.S. states, promoting cross-cultural understanding. 

  • Intensive Academic Experience:

    Participants attend lectures, participate in seminars, and engage in collaborative discussions led by Yale professors and staff. 

  • Diverse Academic Tracks:

    Students can choose from different academic tracks, such as Innovations in Science & Technology, Politics, Law, & Economics, and Solving Global Challenges. 

  • Immersive Campus Life:

    The program provides an opportunity for high schoolers to experience campus life at a historic Ivy League university. 

  • Community and Networking:

    The YYGS community extends beyond academics, with opportunities for students to connect and build lasting relationships through small groups and discussions.
