Foyle competition
The Foyle Young Poets of the Year Award is a major writing competition for young people aged 11-17, established in 1998 by The Poetry Society and supported by the Foyle Foundation. The competition is free to enter and is considered the largest of its kind. Each year, 100 winners are selected by two high-profile poets, receiving prizes such as Poetry Society membership and opportunities for mentoring and creative writing development.
