The Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competition is the 

world's oldest international writing competition for schools, run by the Royal Commonwealth Society since 1883, and is now under the patronage of Queen Camilla. It encourages young people across the Commonwealth to write essays on themes related to its values, with winners receiving trips to London and other cultural events. Entrants are divided into Junior and Senior categories, and the competition seeks originality, flair, and a sound command of English.
