Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition (QCEC)
The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition, established in 1883, is the world’s oldest international writing competition for schools. Organized by the Royal Commonwealth Society (RCS), it aims to inspire young people across the Commonwealth to express their ideas, foster critical thinking, and promote an international exchange of perspectives through creative writing. Each year, it receives thousands of entries from students aged 11–18 worldwide. Winners are awarded medals, certificates, and opportunities to participate in educational and cultural events.
